Functional/Enterprise Architect

Organization

You will be part of the talented software development team of Coface Technologies, that is an Excellence Software Development Center opened in Bucharest and located in Globalworth Plaza (Aurel Vlaicu). This position reports directly to the Tech/Team Lead, and mainly interfaces with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Quality Assurance Engineers.

 

The candidate will have two missions (~50% of the time each)

  •  Document Coface's architecture in its architecture description tool Ardoq.
  •  Participate in a study for the rationalization of the COFACE information system (with other architects)

 

For the 1st part, the candidate shall :

  • Train himself in the Ardoq tool (on boarding provided by Coface),
  • Incorporate the various existing architecture descriptions in various formats (Powerpoint, Viso, Excel, proprietary CMDB, MagicDraw, etc.) into the new tool in compliance with Coface specifications.
  • Make changes to some of these specifications (proposal for adapting metamodels, proposal for architecture presentation formats adapted to various audiences, etc.) in agreement with the Coface architecture manager.
  • Discuss with the various stakeholders (other architects, application and IT domain managers, product owners) to recover architecture elements that are currently little/not/poorly documented in order to reverse document them into Ardoq.
  • Validate his work with the domain architects.

 

For the second part, the candidate will work with the architect in charge of the application landscape rationalization study on the portfolio of ~450 Coface applications in order to:

  • Discover the overlapping of features between applications
  • Choose which applications will be kept and which ones will have to be decommissioned
  • Analyze the gaps between decommissioned and retained applications to identify the developments to be made in the target applications.
  • Estimate the costs and savings for each decommissioning
  • Elaborate an iterative rationalization roadmap based on these elements
  • Discuss with the various stakeholders (team architects, application and IT domain managers, product owners) to validate these proposals and prepare files for the approval committee.

 Required technical skills

  •  Real experience of rationalization projects (effective participation in projects of the same kind)
  •  Proven experience in Archimate, BPMN and UML modeling
  •  Very good level in spoken (international team), read and written English
  •  Operational knowledge of TOGAF

  • Used to exchanging with the various stakeholders about enterprise architecture topics.

Data Quality Analyst

Context

Inside Business Technology, Data Office – Data Quality team. The Data office is managed by the Chief Data Officer (CDO).        

This team watches over the data quality associated to regulatory requirements and operational needs. Coface data are a real asset which quality is essential (in order to avoid reprocessing cost and to get the confidence of the users)

Data Quality means Coface data are complete, accurate and appropriate, following dedicated governance, processes and tools.

In the continuation ofBroker Portal & CCR(Consolidated client report) implementations, it is necessary to ensure that the data communicated to a third part have a satisfactory data quality.

Coface, with a Data Driven, strategy would like follow the improvement of the quality of their own data especiallycontractual & commercial data. The scope could be extended also to other data area (Business Information…)

Missions

Missions are multiple and intervene throughout the Data Quality (DQ) process:

-      Data Quality controls

  • Ensure the update of the existing DQ indicators (Power BI)
  • Creation of new DQ indicators (Power BI)
  • Analyze the level of data quality of the scope, with existing KPI (Power BI)

-      Data analysis

  • Punctual data analysis using SQL to quantify the anomaly and identify or follow a correction
  • If the data are inconsistent, definition of an action plan to correct them, with the help of the regional data quality correspondent, business team and BT
  • Answer to internal or external requests (audits) with SQL
  • ALM, Jira or Cofitil tickets processing

-      Communication, coordination and Assistance

  • Communication and assistance to DQ and Power BI reports users
  • Definition and validation of the needs, priorities with the Data Owner, business team and BT
  • Daily contacts with users worldwide to follow their data quality actions
  • Exchanges with business experts, Data Quality correspondent, BT
  • Realization of communications in order to raise awareness of Coface collaborators to DQ
  • Participation and animation of data quality seminars and committees: give an overview of the DQ progress  

-      Documentation

  • Formalization of workshops or analysis carried out
  • Involve for the update of DQ documentations (data dictionary, DQ controls referential, corrective action forms…)
  • Preparation of documents for committees
  • Update and follow up of the planning

Senior Java Developer – Full-stack

This tool allows user to create pricing projects, ask for simulations and negotiate the premium. A user can also add some options on his current simulation to build different proposals and share with other users his pricing projects.

When all data are entered in the tool (company identification / client information / portfolio) it calculates:

  • A technical premium (cost of risk) + A set of costs (additional costs, brokerage, servicing partner…) + A margin
  • It gives the Estimated Premium Before Options (EPBO) + A set of options
  • It gives the Estimated Annual Premium (EAP)

The development environment is based on the use of a JAVA framework (developed by Coface,DSIAS Service) providing an architecture of Components and Business Services implemented using EJBs.

Java/J2EE Analyst / Developer

Organisation

 

The BDC (Bucharest Development Center) in which the mission takes place is part of the Information System Development Department.

This job reports to the BDC Project Manager. The BDC teams are accountable for the entire development lifecycle from design study to production support and Maintenance.

 

BDC mainly interfaces with the following teams located in Paris: French development teams (DPA), CPI team (in charge of managing the overall IT planning, collecting users’ needs, reformulating these needs in requirements, accepting the solution and training the users); DSIAS team (in charge of IT System Architecture (including Coface framework), IT tools and methodologies; DSIP (in charge of Production).

 

The candidate also has to comply with the requirements of the quality system (ISO 9001 certification) and security recommendations. More precisely, he has to work in accordance with the Coface project management plan. 

 

Mission Description

  • Designing, developing and delivering components with high-availability and efficiency for mission-critical systems 
  • Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient, documented code

The InfoCom subsystem includes 3 main Business Components (BCs) and is responsible for interfacing the Coface applications and our Information Providers systems. This interface consists of a business services repository, a configuration database and technical connectors necessary for all the communication protocols used by the different

Information Providers. The development is mainly focused on the gradual opening of new connections to Information providers through direct or indirect access.

In addition to the overall skills of the "refactoring" project, the "InfoCom" analyst must have a serious XML / XSL knowledge. Angular, http and web services knowledge would also be strongly appreciated.

 

The analyst/developer will be responsible for the design and internal modeling of UML components as well as its development:

  • Detailed design phase: breakdown of the software architecture into software modules (Distributed Components, DCs) using UML language and Magic Draw tool. The starting point is 

o a list of Requirements managed with Caliber-RM tool as well as

o definition of the interfaces of the BCs, 

o the data exchanged, the external view of the BC (UML modeling)

  • Conference calls and Email exchanges with the Coface Entities and Information Providers worldwide. Hence the need for a very good level of English both oral and written.
  • The coding phase and tests: development environment is based on the use of a Java  ( framework developed by Coface, providing business component architecture and services implemented through EJB). The tests are managed in JUnit, and we are currently implementing continuous integration (Maven, Jenkins) at Coface.
  • The analyst/developer will also be responsible for the development of batches.
